VfL Kids Camp

DRESDEN, September 23, 2022 —— Soccer training with the pros, a breath of stadium air at the Bundesliga women's game, a guided arena tour in the spirit of environmental protection, and finally the VfL Kids Soccer Festival - an eventful weekend lies behind the participants of the VfL Kids Camp. Thanks to our close cooperation with our partner VfL Wolfsburg, this unforgettable experience was made possible for our JOYNEXT employees and their children.

Arrival in Wolfsburg

Already at our summer party this year, the excitement rose when soccer star Pierre Littbarski announced the winners of the VfL Kids Camp. On Friday, September 16, 2022, the time had finally come and the journey to the long-awaited soccer camp in Wolfsburg began. Once there, our JOYNEXT employees and their children were warmly welcomed by Wölfi, the VfL mascot. Wölfi had a surprise for everyone: a goodie bag with soccer clothes! Equipped with the right gear for the weekend, the young soccer pros fortified themselves after the long drive at a delicious buffet and were eager to see what the next days had to offer.

Training with the pros and a visit to a game

On Saturday, the day started with a professional soccer training in the VfL-Bolzwerk, next to the Volkswagen Arena. Afterwards, the highlight at noon was the match of the VfL Wolfsburg women against SGS Essen, which the young soccer enthusiasts followed with excitement; especially because some players from the Wolfsburg squad took part in this year's European Championship and familiar faces were on the pitch.

Soccer in the spirit of environmental protection

The sporting part of the day and the impressive stadium atmosphere were followed by an exclusive guided tour of the arena, where the group learned more about climate protection topics in addition to interesting facts about the Volkswagen Arena and VfL Wolfsburg. On the occasion of the international World Cleanup Day, there was a workshop on environmental protection. All the children received a football pot which they planted with seeds from the VfL turf. Afterwards, the young people planted their soccer pots with seeds from the VfL lawn. In the evening, everyone got together for a barbecue with a rich buffet before the next highlight was already waiting on Sunday.

VfL Children's Soccer Festival

In addition to the numerous impressions of the previous day, the VfL Children's Soccer Festival provided team power at the end of the weekend. At the soccer tournament, the tricks of the training the day before were successfully put into practice. No wonder that only beaming children's eyes could be seen at the award ceremony. We would like to thank our partner VfL Wolfsburg for the weekend full of soccer, fun and new impulses and look forward to future joint experiences.
