As the core piece of hardware in this mass-production solution, the Wudang C1296 chip is manufactured using a 7nm automotive-grade process. It is the industry's first chip to support multi-domain fusion computing, breaking through the boundaries of traditional functional domains with an innovative multi-domain architecture. The chip provides hardware-level resource integration of systems such as intelligent cockpits, ADAS, and body controllers for the first time. While reducing complexity, it can significantly improve functional collaboration efficiency as well. Compared with existing industry solutions, the C1296 chip can meet the intelligent needs of models ranging from economy to high-end vehicles by means of flexible configurations, providing automakers with a sustainable upgrade path with ‘one chip for multiple uses’.
Mr. Jianshu Shen, JOYNEXT Global Head of Sales, said that: "The architectural design of the C1296 chip provides an ideal hardware foundation for cross-domain system integration. This joint solution by the three parties will pass stringent automotive-grade verification and have the ability to be quickly transplanted to global mainstream platforms. We look forward to taking this cooperation as a starting point to promote China's innovative intelligent solutions to a broader overseas market."
Mr. Chao Feng, Dongfeng Motors Chief Engineer, states that: "The cross-domain fusion capability of the C1296 chip enables Dongfeng's 'scenario- driven' strategy to be implemented through an in-depth synergy of hardware and data. Relying on JOYNEXT's mature technology and the combined advantages of Black Sesame's 'technological foresight' and 'localized services' is an important driving force for promoting the creation of an independent technological ecosystem in China's automotive industry."
Mr. Jizhang Shan, Black Sesame Founder and CEO, said: "The mass-production of the C1296 chip confirms the forward-looking insights of local chip companies into the transformation of electronic architectures for the automotive industry. With the goal of 'integrating intelligent experiences with chips', we aim to help automakers achieve the transformation from function stacking to experience upgrading through technological breakthroughs. Our in-depth cooperation with JOYNEXT and Dongfeng Motors demonstrates the huge potential for collaborative innovation in the industrial chain."
