JOYNEXT Achieves ASIL D, the Highest Level of Functional Safety Management Certificate for the Second Time

Recently, JOYNEXT has achieved the ISO 26262:2018 Functional Safety Management Certificate at ASIL D level by TÜV Rheinland, marking the company’s second acquisition of this certification. Having operated, audited and continuously optimized its enterprise-level functional safety management system for years, JOYNEXT has built stable process baselines, traceable safety evidence chains and replicable project delivery capabilities. This lays a solid foundation for undertaking high-safety-level projects for autonomous driving domain controllers and central computing platforms worldwide.

During the certification process, TÜV Rheinland went beyond document reviews and assessed the system against JOYNEXT’s real-world project delivery scenarios. Comprehensive checks were conducted on core capabilities including cross-domain function management, resource security isolation, version traceability, issue closure and continuous improvement. The results confirm that the company’s safety capabilities have been fully embedded into organization-wide standard workflows, enabling consistent safety performance across multiple projects and multi-region deliveries without relying on individual experience.

Amid the industry trend of cockpit-driving fusion and the evolution of central computing architectures, JOYNEXT has integrated safety-related capabilities such as cockpit control, automatic parking and driving decision-making into a unified high-computing domain control and delivery system. Today, the industry faces new challenges stemming from converging functional boundaries, accelerated software iteration, OTA updates and global deployment. Accordingly, functional safety has moved beyond isolated protection to full-lifecycle and full-version systematic governance. The ASIL D certification serves as authoritative recognition of our systematic safety capabilities. It also delivers reusable management frameworks for us to take on higher-safety system integration roles in next-generation electrical and electronic architectures and ensures uniform safety standards for parallel deliveries to clients across global regions.

Leveraging our existing certifications and strengths, JOYNEXT will further upgrade the functional safety management system and embed stringent safety control principles into the entire new product development process. With reliable and high-quality automotive hardware and software solutions, we will serve global automakers and steadily expand our global business footprint.
