Dresden, Oborniki (Poland). JOYNEXT is significantly expanding its production capacity with a new production hall at its Polish site in Oborniki. With an increase of over 11,300 square meters, the company is almost doubling its production area.

Construction of the hall began in August 2025. The central milestone – the introduction of technology into the plant and thus the start of the installation of the production lines – is scheduled for the first half of 2026. Regular series production is scheduled to start at the end of 2026.

The expansion is part of a new customer project to produce over 10 million compact and highly flexible multimedia units for a renowned southern German automobile manufacturer. “This customer project will significantly increase our European capacity and create promising prospects for future orders, allowing us to work closely with the research and development centres of European car manufacturers. The geographical proximity to Europe's manufacturers accelerates the process from change requests to series production," explains Stavros Mitrakis, CEO of JOYNEXT GmbH.

Expansion as a signal for future development

The current expansion focuses on the expansion of infotainment production lines. JOYNEXT is thus creating new capacities for the industry trend toward software-defined and connected cockpits. The site expansion also offers space for other production areas, thus securing free capacity for new orders. "Thanks to a modular concept, the production lines can be efficiently mirrored, enabling us to meet customer requirements quickly and flexibly," says Jefferson Fahner, COO of JOYNEXT GmbH.

"The expansion of our plant is an important step and sharpens our profile in the European market," adds Stavros Mitrakis. "With the new production hall, we are substantially increasing our manufacturing capacity and placing a clear emphasis on the further development of our technology portfolio. At the same time, this investment contributes to the stability of our customers' supply chains and reduces potential risks associated with customs duties and other trade barriers." The company is thus strategically expanding its market presence to reliably meet both global and local market needs in the future.

Commitment to the Oborniki production site

The second expansion within five years is also a commitment to the production site in Oborniki. JOYNEXT is investing over 15 million euros in the project and creating over 100 new jobs. In addition to production halls, the multi-million euro investment will also include social rooms for the growing workforce.

The Oborniki site near Wrocław has been JOYNEXT's European production backbone for years. Here, the automotive electronics expert currently manufactures navigation, entertainment, and control units as well as telematics control units for well-known car manufacturers on 12,600 square meters.
